The SPE is a global not-for-profit professional association with 132,000 members in 146 countries. For more than six decades, SPE has been the leading network for professionals in the exploration and production of oil and gas, with strong roots in upstream.

 

Today, SPE is evolving with the industry itself. While we proudly acknowledge our history in upstream, we are also embracing the broader energy landscape — from oil and gas to renewables, new technologies and future energy solutions. Our mission remains clear: to collect, share and exchange technical knowledge and to provide professionals with opportunities for growth, connection and excellence.
